Endlers are a subspecies of the guppy that are able to cross breed with them. Because of this Endlers must be kept separate from guppies. If allowed to crossbreed with guppies the resulting hybrid offspring are usually sterile. Unlike the Fancy Guppy; Endlers are not known for their size. Toping out ate 1 inch in length for males and 1.5 inches for females, however they are known for the beautiful coloration and streamline bodies.

Their habitat conditions are the same as the guppy; except for temperature. Endlers do best in temperatures of 78°F to 80°F.

Breeding isn’t a problem with Endlers. They are just as prolific as the guppy. They have a gestation period of 26 days, and have litters of 3 to 20 fry. Endlers are not known to eat their fry, so the fry can be left in the tank with their parents.

Their not as many strains of Endlers as there are guppy strains, however hobbyist are working on creating new strains. Reliant Aquatics has acquired and cataloged a few of these strains.
